Shelby Stuart is a Swiss American author and artist based in Basel, Switzerland. Her work spans from lyric essays and literary journalism to texts rooted in a performative practice. In 2021, she completed an M.A. in Transdisciplinary Studies at Zürich University of the Arts (ZHdK).

 

She has recently finished an epistolary novel entitled "I Believe: The Faithful Witness of a Swiss Concubine,"  which was written through the generous support of the Literature Committee of the Department of Culture of Basel-Stadt/Basel-Land.
